Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) Unit

The Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) is an external, HDMI-connected viewing screen for Vision cameras that displays a live view of the finish line (as seen by the Lynx camera), while providing on-screen indicators of Gain, Level, and Focus. The EVF unit makes it possible to manually align an EtherLynx Vision or Vision PRO camera without needing direct access to the FinishLynx software alignment mode. The EVF is especially useful for large venues where cameras may be installed many meters away from the finish line (like horse racing or motorsports).

The EVF add-on functions like a digital Through-the-Lens Viewer by allowing timers to see the live field-of-view from a Vision camera during manual alignment. To enable the Electronic Viewfinder, tick the EVF box within the FinishLynx software and then connect the EVF unit to the Vision camera using the HDMI port on the camera back. The viewer can then be used at the setup location to precisely align the camera without needing the FinishLynx software. The unit includes an LCD display screen, an adjustable viewfinder/sunshade, a charger/rechargeable battery, and an HDMI cable.
